Oh what fun this book is!! Funny, romantic, and so cleverly written, I couldn’t put it down. When the son of the President of the United States makes a major faux-pas at a royal wedding, with his nemesis Prince Henry, they are forced to work together to fix the damage done to both family’s reputations. They soon discover they have more in common than they realise and their relationship changes. Both hilarious and heart-warming, this is a fantastic book to read.

A lovely book about kindness, friendship, family, and about wondering who we are. Rick standing up for what is right is an important lesson for many and hopefully will give others the strength to do it too.

I have been in a serious reading rut recently and this wonderful book has gotten me back into reading again. Scottie is on her highschool basketball team and is still getting a recent breakup with a girl she loved. She wants to make her ex jealous and when her life collides (literally!) with that of cheerleading captain, Irene, whom she hates, the wheels are set in motion to mix their lives in a way neither would expect. Despite heartbreak and coming to difficult realization of who she is, Scottie comes away from this with more than she could hope.

This one is one of my favourites and it has been a favourite for all the classes I have read it to. Who doesn't love a story about second chances and bit of mystery??!

This is one of those books that will stay with me a long time. Incredibly written, this devastating and riveting novel is about 19yr old Sadie who is in pursuit of her sister's murderer. The story flips back and forth between Sadie and the journalist who tracks her journey and her disappearance and has created a podcast of her story. I was sucked into this book from the very first page and have listened to this book on audiobook in every free moment I have had since starting it earlier this week.

I loved Holly Goldberg Sloan's novel Counting by 7s (read it- such a great book!) so when I found Short I hoped it would be as good. It didn't disappoint. Short is funny and sweet and one of those reads that leaves you feeling good. We need more of these kinds of stories in this dark and uncertain time we face currently.

A beautifully written novel-in-verse which provides readers with a perspective of the pandemic and the treatment of indigenous people from their perspective, both now and in the past.

I chose this book based on the cover, and such a great pick it was! This brilliant story, told from the perspectives of Joe and Ravi, shares the trials of trying to fit in and overcoming the challenges that many face in middle school.

I so loved reading this book. Iris is a 12yr old deaf girl, who's family all hears, as do all of her classmates at school. She hears about a whale who has a different whale song than others (Blue 55). She feels an immediate connection to this lonely whale and makes a plan to create a song at the whale's interval, to let him know he isn't alone. This rich and beautiful story will be loved by so many.
