I loved this book for so many reasons. First of all because it made me think of our very own Candy Cane Lane here in the city. Secondly, I loved the message. On this Candy Cane Lane, there is an unlit home at the end, which is the home of a young girl and her father who can’t afford fancy decor for their home. A couple of nights later there is a blizzard and the decorations on the street are blown around. Many are broken and tossed out, even the choirboy decor the little girl tries to save. These unwanted decorations end up at the dump and they decide to try to find the young girl again, being joined by other unloved decor along the way. My last reason for loving this book is the love and joy portrayed.

I must applaud this ingenious story that only uses 2 different words to tell the story of blended families. So clever and one many people can relate to.
