An oldie but a goodie. I remember using this when I first started teaching 20 yrs ago and kids LOVED it, and they still love this funny story today. The hilarity that ensues as the animals are sure there is some terrible monster in the cave that will eat them, brings kids back to this story over and over again.

A fun book with a great message. Rot, a rather unsightly potato, has decided to enter a cuteness contest and is sure he will win. Enter his opponents (picture cuteness overload- kittens, bunnies) and he starts question whether winning is possible against these cute foes. A great book that reminds us not to judge something based on what it looks like on the outside.

This was another favourite in my house when I was little. We read these stories so many times over the years. Years later I was excited to find a newer edition that I could share with my own kids

I so love this book. It honors kids' worries beautifully and lets them know that they are real, and it also gives them a way to get rid of these worries too- talking about them to someone. A good reminder for adults too.
